The Indy Air Bears are hosting the Indy Open on April 6th, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN. All individual and team competitors are invited to participate in this one-day event.  Event T-shirt is included with event registration for COMPETITORS only. Pre-paid lunch orders ($9) and extra T-shirt ($15) orders should be placed during registration

All competitors and volunteers (judges, pushers, and tabulators) need to register online. Admission is $5 for spectators.

February 12th, 2024: Registration and competitor entry opens

March 19th, 2024: Last day to register and competition entries due via IJRU platform

Parents/Athletes/Volunteers: Sign up on SportsEngine.

Coaches/Team admins:  

1. Visit https://registration.ijru.sport
2. Create an IJRU account or log in
3. If this is your first time using the IJRU Registration System, click "Your clubs" from the left menu and create your roster.
4. Once your roster is complete, click "All events" from the left menu and select Indy Open 2024
5. Register your athletes and competition entries, as well as submit music for each freestyle entry.

All judges and volunteers need to register using the online registration for free.  

Attire: All volunteers must wear black pants, shorts, or skirt and a black shirt.  Please look professional.

Lunch: Judges who are utilized will receive a free lunch.

Judging and Volunteer Requirements:  All teams are required to meet the following volunteer requirements.  Teams who do not meet requirements will have jumpers pulled from events.

*Music is required for all freestyle events except individual freestyle. Music WILL NOT be used for single rope individual freestyle.

Per IJRU: An athletes' age is as of December 31st, 2024.

All Events

• 11 & under
• 12-13
• 14-15
• 16-18
• 19+

• Male and Female for individual events
• Female and Mixed for group events

Per IJRU rules, the tournament host reserves the right to adjust the age and gender divisions when there are not enough entries.  Coaches will be notified at least two weeks prior to the competition start date.

Traditional competition events will follow the 2023-2024 IJRU Rules of Competition. Judges must have IJRU certification.

Medical Release and Indemnity Agreement

I hereby request that you accept this application for registration in the Indy Air Bears Indy Open of my child named above, and in consideration of your acceptance of this application, I hereby release Indy Air Bears, Franklin Township Schools, and all of its facilities and employees and all persons associated with the Indy Air Bears of and from all claims or causes of injury to the participant arising from participation in the event, whether such injury is a result of negligence or some other cause.  If medical attention is required for injury or illness while at the Indy Air Bears Indy Open, I give permission for such medical care and will be financially responsible. I also give permission for photography or video to be taken and used in the future for possible promotion of the event or sport.

Ribbons will be awarded to the first 5 places for individual events.

HOTEL:

Indy Air Bears has prepared a block of hotel rooms reserved for the event for those who are interested. It is at Country Inn (4325 Southport Crossings Way Indianapolis, IN 46237). Anyone interested must book by March 1st and has to stay both 4/5 and 4/6. The rooms are $179 a night for a 2 queen bed room. The group name and number for booking is Indy Air Bears and #4796796.
